Blackwater
Melvin Construction Ltd is delivering a high‑quality scheme of 32 homes in Blackwater, Cornwall. The development features bungalows and dormer bungalows across a 1.64‑hectare site, providing open‑market, private rent, shared‑ownership, and affordable homes.
The project combines traditional construction with fully engineered external works, including new access roads, drainage, retaining structures, levelled plots, coordinated services, and complete landscaping. A central green space strengthens the layout and long‑term community use.
Melvin Construction is managing the full build programme — from groundworks and infrastructure to masonry superstructures, engineered timber roofs, full M&E installation, renewable heating, and solar PV. Each home meets modern energy‑efficiency standards with high‑performance insulation and airtightness. A controlled programme and strict quality checks ensure every home is delivered to a consistently high standard.
All Saints Church Lifehouse, Truro
A modern, energy‑efficient community hub built with care, precision and long‑term durability. Melvin Construction delivered the new Lifehouse as a bright, fully accessible space designed for connection, wellbeing and everyday community life — constructed to exacting standards from complex groundworks and steel framing through to high‑performance insulation, underfloor heating, air‑source systems and integrated solar technology. Thoughtful design and skilled craftsmanship come together to create a robust, sustainable and future‑ready building that will serve Truro for generations.
