Melvin Construction, established in 2015 by Michael McGlone and Kilian Feely, is dedicated to delivering exceptional construction projects throughout Cornwall.
Michael and Kilian started out in the construction industry over 25 years ago. They both trained as carpenters in Ireland, then moved to the USA, before eventually setting up home in Cornwall. As life-long friends, both with the same values and aspirations, Melvin Construction has grown over the years, and Michael and Kilian now have an extensive team of highly skilled professionals around them.
We have the expertise to work with you, on your project, every step of the way. From planning, designing and project managing, to building and finishing, meaning you will have confidence knowing your project is in the most capable of hands.

Our barn was converted by Melvin Construction between Summer 2021 and Autumn 2022. Michael McGlone and Kilian Feely, Directors of Melvin, were approachable from the start and very welcoming, encouraging us to visit the site whenever we wanted. We have genuinely enjoyed having Melvin Construction work on the above projects. I am not an easy taskmaster and Michael was great at translating our ideas without too much eyerolling. His communication is fantastic (often an issue with builders we have used in our previous life in London) and any snagging issues (there have been very few) are sorted quickly. They are actually the only builders that I have ever used for more than one project which must be a good sign! We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them or use them again myself.
