Tregony Studio Conversion

This two-bedroom barn was in a great location in the heart of Tregony town centre and had fabulous views from the garden, but the biggest thing on the owner’s wish list was to create a master retreat. We converted the existing lean-to-studio with a plastic roof to deliver a master suite with an en-suite shower and utility room.

The existing building had been erected on bare earth and stone. After waterproofing and tying in the existing exterior boundary wall, we effectively built a brand new, fully insulated building within the old and new roof with eaves storage above and replacement doors to an internal courtyard and additional high level horizontal picture window.

The addition of a new steel-supported opening entryway and stairs from the living room enabling us to join the new space with the existing building.
